Fo-Ti has been shown to lower levels of cholesterol in the body as well as to decrease progressive hardening of the arteries, or atherosclerosis. Fo-Ti has a prominent role in strengthening the body\'s immune functions, red blood cell formation and also has an anti-bacterial action. It also has a mild laxative action. It is traditionally used in China to treat premature ageing, weakness, impotence, angina pectoris, vaginal discharges and numerous infectious diseases.
